Bio:

Ryan Sidhoo is an award winning documentary director and producer gravitating toward projects at the cross section of identity and culture. He is currently directing a coming-of-age documentary set in Bosnia that has been recognized and supported by SFFILM, The Canada Council for the Arts, and Doc NYC.

He recently produced the feature film Handle with Care. The project was nominated for three Canadian Screen Awards, the country’s highest film honour, including Best Documentary Feature. It was an official selection at Hot Docs 2022, Audience Award Winner at VIFF 2021 while having it’s American premier at Urbanworld 2022 and European premier at Tallinn Dark Nights Festival 2022. The film is available globally on most streaming platforms.

Sidhoo won a Webby Award for his directorial work on his series True North produced by The National Film Board of Canada. Prior to this, Ryan has created short-form content across various VICE platforms including Noisey, Vice Sports and VICELAND. In a variety of roles he has leant his skill-set to industry leading companies including Pulse Films, Participant Media, Blowback Productions, Viacom and NBC-Universal.
